How to Remove a Car Radio Cassette Player? The cassette players in cars were very popular few years ago. They were tiny, reliable, durable and provided very god quality sound. But in this modern world cassette players have gone out of fashion. People do not use cassette players either at home or at their cars. They have started using compact disc, DVDs, portable small storage devices, MP3 players, etc. So, in order to change the audio system you have to first remove the cassette player carefully from the car without bringing any damage to your audio player.

This article will list all the things that are required to remove the car’s cassette player from the car’s dash board and it also lists the steps to be followed to remove the car’s cassette player carefully without causing any damage to the player from the same dash board of the car. If you go to a mechanic or an engineer they may charge you heavily to do this simple work. So, the best choice is to do the work on your own so that you can save your hard earned money and your valuable time. The things that are required to remove the car’s cassette player completely from the car’s dash board are panel tool, screw drivers of various sizes, socket set and set of torx drivers. Make sure all these things are made ready before you start the work to avoid any wastage of time. Make sure you have screw drivers of various sizes so that screws of any sizes can be removed without wasting time.

If you find any cassettes in the cassette player, remove that first. Ignition engine of the car is turned off using the car keys. Identify trim panel that will be present around the cassette player in dash board of the car. In some cars the trim panel may be very small and in some cases they may be big. If it is small it covers only the cassette player and if it is big it covers player, air conditioner controls and so.

After identifying the panel the screws or bolts holding the panel are identified. Remove those screws using the appropriate screw driver and keep those screws away. Do not misplace these screws because you need them when you reattach all the things. If you find any difficulty, look for the car’s instruction manual and then follow it.

After removing the screws the panel is removed using the panel tool. Clips that are holding the trim panel in the dash board can be released by applying force using your panel tool. After the panel is removed completely, look for the screws or bolts that are present on the cassette player on both sides of the player. These screws are removed using the appropriate screw driver. After removing all the screws or bolts, the cassette player is carefully pulled off. The wires connected at the back side of the player are disconnected carefully.

Thus this article guides you How to Remove a Car Radio Cassette Player easily.
