Whether you're a small or large business one key essential in the everyday running of your business is to make sure your invoices or advertising literature is of the best quality.
This doesn't mean you have to necessarily outsource your work, it means that you need to ensure that your printer ink cartridges are fit for purpose. There are so many conflicting opinions about whether you should only use the same brand as your computer, opt for refills or compatible cartridges which can potentially save you money.
The logic that buying cartridges manufactured by the same company as your printer holds true for many reasons. Researches have been carried out with results showing that many of the brand names do in fact provide better print quality as well as producing far more good quality prints than compatible cartridges.
Compatible cartridges can damage your printer as they are not always made to the exact manufacture specifications, yes they will work nine times out of ten, but they can cause extensive damage to the printer head which also means the quality of the print may be poorer. Niggling aspects such as smudges and faint colour will do little to impress your clients, for this reason compatible cartridges are not always providing you with the cost savings you're hoping for. If you have a thermal or an ink-jet printer the ink in the majority of compatible cartridges simply isn't up to the job.
Refills are also less expensive and as your existing cartridges are used in theory these should not damage your printer. However, you should also remember that companies who refill cartridges are also out to make a profit as such the quality of the ink may be far inferior, weaker in strength and density of colour or not dry as fast, which again leads to smudgy and low quality clarity and quality printing.
There is also the fact that if your printer is still under guarantee you'll need to use the recommended cartridges otherwise the warranty may be invalidated, which can leave between a rock and a hard place. You want the best and yet some of the brand cartridges can be very expensive more especially the colour ink cartridges.
There is one very logical way to use brand name cartridges which are designed and manufactured for your printer and that is to go online and find reputable office supplies retailers who offer discounts off brand names, giving you the best of both worlds, the correct brand name ink cartridges at discounted costs.
There are many different suppliers and you'll have to separate the 'wheat from the chaff'. Look for retailers who offer guarantees on all of their products along with genuinely discounted prices on brand names. Bulk buying can also help you make further savings, therefore if your business is constantly running out of replacement ink cartridges this can be a very sensible and cost effective approach to take. You should also take into consideration delivery charges, as what you may save on your cartridges you could end up re-paying in delivery charges!
